During a fundraiser in Kitale which was presided over by Deputy President William Ruto, former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo, a close ally, and first cousin of NASA leader Raila Odinga attended.

The DP and Midiwo embraced each during the function which was also attended by other Jubilee MPs and Nyali lawmaker Mohammed Ali.

Much as the former MP may have attended the event as one of the guests, could there be something than just a fundraiser? Is Ruto trying to court Raila's trusted ally ahead of 2022 political contest?

Midiwo has of late been playing his political game close to his chest with many left guessing on the former National Assembly Deputy Minority leader's next move.
