President Uhuru Kenyatta is reportedly planning a cabinet reshuffle.
According to The Standard, the reshuffle will mainly affect ministries that have been embroiled in corruption scandals.
The paper reports that President Uhuru Kenyatta has hinted at including opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The reports further alleged that President Kenyatta could replace them with individuals agreed upon with Raila in consultation with other arms of government.
It is believed that some of Raila’s allies will also feature in the appointments.
Analysts maintained that this could happen since the terms of board members of close to40 parastatals and government agencies’ expired last month.
Raila and Uhuru have come out to condemn corruption in various government departments.
Over 20 people are currently behind bars over their role in the National Youth Service scandal that saw over Sh8 billion go missing.
