Former Prime Minister Raila Odinag will after all divert his energies in changing the constitution to fit parliamentary system of government, Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose has said.
At Naivasha on Tuesday however, Raila dismissed claims that he is interested in running for any seats in the country.
"It is not about 2022. We have had presidents before, Prime Ministers and even Chief Minister," he told ODM delegates.
But at the event, Raila insisted need to amend the constitution to solve issues that have created havoc in the country.
According to Mose, Raila is hiding in the handshake to shortchange Deputy President William Ruto through structural change of governance.
"You don't have to be a seer to tell his moves. He wants to retire as Prime Minister thus the secret push for parliamentary system. We are ready to deal with him," he said.
While Raila is yet to point out what he wants to be changed in the constitution, his lieutenants have been pushing for parliamentary system.
Last week, Raila openly dismissed claims that he is plotting to run for presidency in 2022 polls.
