Former Kisumu Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga has disappeared from the political scene leaving many guessing on her next move.
The vocal politician who is NASA leader Raila Odinga's younger sister opted out of the Kisumu gubernatorial race in 2017 and instead focused campaigning for the former Premier who was in the presidential race.
In October 2017, she was charged in Court, alongside Kisumu Senator Fred Outa for allegedly inciting locals against IEBC officials.
Then in November, she was admitted to Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu with chest complications.
She would later maintain a low political profile for the next three months only to reemerge in 2018 February, this time in London, where she led demos against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee administration at a time the government was on a crackdown mission against opposition figures.
However, since then, nothing has been heard of her.
On her next political move, she has remained mum.
However, she might try to reignite her political career by vying for a political seat in Kisumu.
But that is just a guess.
It will all depend on what happens between now and 2022.
Again, for her, the current simmering political battles in Kisumu may play to her advantage.
