The planned swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga is a laughable thing that can only get the support of sycophants and political dead bodies.
It will never happen.
If anything happens on December 12, it will be something as minute as a busaa den declaration from a drunk.
Already, NASA has been caught up in incessant push and shove over the event.
The fights began after Odinga declared that he would be sworn in as the president on December 12 when the country goes to celebrate Jamhuri Day.
But as the day approaches, it has emerged that a section of senior NASA politicians are opposed to it.
Wiper has already pulled out from the idea terming it illegal and a recipe for chaos.
Deputy party leader for Wiper Farah Maalim together with the party's national vice-chairman Mutula Kilonzo on Monday dismissed the idea calling it an ‘impossibility’.
The party has since communicated to officially support Maalim's sentiments.
On the other hand, ANC insists that they will go ahead with the plans.
Musalia Mudavadi’s aide Kibisu Kabatesi has opined that the process is well rooted within the law of Kenya, showing clearly that ANC and Wiper are standing on different bars.
But the question is, will the swearing-in of Raila take place without Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper?
Already, Kalonzo himself will not be available when the event takes place and Senator Kilonzo has confirmed this. So will NASA give him the oath in absentia?
Let's not lie to ourselves. What will happen on December 12 will be something no less than a busaa den declaration.
