The planned swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka as the people’s president has received a major boost.
On Monday, Mwingi Professionals Association said that it is in support of the Raila-Kalonzo’s panned coronation.
The Association Coordinator Campbel Munyambu said that NASA’s push for electoral reforms is justifiable and that Raila and Kalonzo should go on with the swearing in if Jubilee remains non-committal on dialogue.
Mr Munyambu said that the country’s is sharply divided with a large section hiring as a result of the controversial October 26 repeat election.
He said that it will be hard for the country to move on unless healing and reconciliation through electoral justice and reforms is realized.
“President Kenyatta should stop telling Kenyans to move on and instead create room for reforms dialogue,” Mr Munyambu said.
He warned that the country will remain divided if Uhuru ignores calls for dialogue.
NASA has maintained that it will swear in Raila and Kalonzo if Jubilee ignores electoral reforms dialogue.
Last week Kalonzo said that he is ready to take oath alongside Raila if push for electoral reforms hit a snag.
The former Vice president said that he is not afraid of taking oath adding that 202 2presidntila election will be irrelevant if reforms are not carried out now.
NASA says that plans to swear in Raila are complete with the opposition leaders expected to release guidelines ahead of the swearing in.
The government on the other hand has warned against the planned coronation that it has termed illegal which amounts to treason.
