[Photo|William Kingi]On Wednesday afternoon Mombasa Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi graced a special sitting of the County Assembly of Mombasa to listen in as they debated on the Peoples' Assemby Bill. The Bill by the National Super Alliance (NASA) was unanimously passed by the Mombasa MCAs."Even with the passage of this Bill we remain adamant that we cannot comfortably live in a country whose moral fabric is founded on lies, feudalism, marginalization, nepotism, chauvinism, bigotry and corruption," said Kingi. He noted Mombasa MCAs, through the historic statement of action, had once again reiterated the county's resolve and determination to totally restore the sovereignty of the people. The"The passing of this bill has affirmed our inalienable right to determine our destiny as a people."Kingi said the people of Mombasa overwhelming voted for the NASA leader Raila Odinga on August 8 general election but, there will was subverted by the despots and their servants who have no respect for aspirations of the people. "Accepting the Jubilee government would be a great dishonour and betrayal to the very people who entrusted us with their interests and as such the County Government of Mombasa does not acknowledge H.E Uhuru Kenyatta as the legitimate president of the Republic of Kenya," he said.Odinga intends to use the motions to swear himself in as president on December 12.
