NASA leader Raila Odinga finally held the bible to swear himself as the people's president in an event that took place at the Uhuru Park grounds on Tuesday afternoon.
Despite warnings from the Attorney General and a section of Jubilee leaders that the swearing-in will land Odinga in murky legal water and even lead to eventual treason charges the opposition chief overlooked all that and took the oath.
However, a new twist has emerged regarding the treason charges with London political expert and Arise News correspondent Mr John Cookson saying Odinga may as well escape the treason charges based on the semantics of the words People's President.
Cookson says Odinga can defend himself on the basis that the term "people's president" does not mean he was standing against the current regime of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
However, questions are still unanswered that should Odinga say he is the people's president then who are the people?
