NASA leader Raila Odinga has called on his supporters to continue pouring onto the streets, to demonstrate and fight for reforms.
Speaking on Sunday in Mombasa after jetting into the country from his tour of the UK, Odinga said every Kenyan has the right to demonstrate.
He has maintained that his withdrawal from the race should see the polls canceled and the whole process initiated afresh.
“Come out in large numbers tomorrow like you have done today and fear no-one," Odinga, the National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader, told the crowd during his first major rally in Mombasa since his withdrawal from the presidential race.
"This is your country and you have the right to protest," he added.
His sentiments come at a time when the limelight is on the group’s demonstrations, which have resulted in the death of individuals, with the latest being two men shot dead in Bondo.
The coalitions’ leaders who spoke during the Mombasa rally condemned the incidents, saying the government should protect the demonstrators.
They have maintained that they will continue with the demos, which will be daily starting today, Monday.
It waits to be seen the next move by the NASA coalition, with the Jubilee Party insisting the October 26 polls will go on as planned.
Internal Security CS Fred Matiang’i banned all demonstrations in major towns, after cases of looting were reported in Kisumu and Nairobi.
