Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga plans to role-out a four-day tour of the Western region.
The tour comes after resignations by leaders from Western Kenya from positions they held in the orange party.
Dr Paul Otuoma of Funyula, Ababu Namwamba of Budalang'i and John Waluke of Sirisia resigned from the ODM leadership saying they had been frustrated in the party.
Together with other Western Kenya leaders, the region holds higher chances of forming a different political course towards the 2017 general elections.
The rebellion within ODM has presented the party as a 'falling house'.
The disgruntlement has also given the Jubilee party a campaigning tool.
The planned tour by Mr Odinga is a wise move that can help stop continued rebellion by politicians from Western region.
The ODM party leader should be very categorical in ensuring that he provides plans that the party has for the region.
His tour should be devoid of blame games which is always a characteristic of warring political leaders.
The likes of Mr Namwamba, Mr Waluke, Mr Otuoma and other Western Kenya leaders have the right to join other political parties.
They should not be blamed for their decisions therefore.
The former PM should provide concrete reasons why the region should support the Cord coalition in the forthcoming general elections.
He should rekindle the faith that the Western Kenya region people had on ODM party.
This will revive his chances of winning votes in the expansive region.
