Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui has said the decision by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Muyoka to withdraw from the October 26 fresh polls is not a surprise to Kenyans.
“The decision by the NASA presidential candidate to withdraw from the October 26 repeat election is welcome since we were expecting the same move", he said.
Kinyanjui said Raila sensed defeat due to the numerous defections from opposition.
“More defectors from Coast, Kisii, Narok, Western regions have joined Jubilee a clear evedint that NASA is no more,"he added.
According to the governor, the NASA anti-IEBC demonstrations nationwide are only taking place in a few areas around Kisumu and in isolated parts of Nairobi.
