The ongoing heavy rains countrywide have brought more harm than good to Kibera business people at the Laini Saba market.
The traders are counting their losses as the heavy ongoing rains disrupted their businesses in the market. Drainage systems have been destroyed leading to floods all over as business stalls are destroyed.
Traders in the market have been affected by the rains as they are forced to close down their business early to avoid encountering huge losses considering that some of the traders do not have permanent business stalls in the market.
Traders who operate on open grounds have been affected most since they are not able to put their products on display to attract customers since the rains flood the ground hence may carry away their products.
Traders are now forced to close their business as early as 3pm to avoid the floods and destruction.
