The Rangers then had a penalty appeal waved off by the referee, much to the frustrations of the players. They, however, did not have to wait for long, as they levelled matters in the 51st minute.

Luis Tera was brought down in the box by Omar Mbongi, with Jockins Atudo stepping up to bury from the spot.Ulinzi then hit back almost immediately, with Daniel Weru grabbing the second for the home team in the 63rd minute.

The army men should have won the match in the 80th minute, but Luke Owino cleared the ball off the line to keep the flickering hopes still high.

This moment proved important as Rangers scored with almost the last kick of the match, Tera curling in a delicious free kick to give the visitors a hard-fought draw.
