Otiende is said to have been spotted ferrying the animals that were to be given to the women groups at Mamboleo grounds in Kisumu by the wife to Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) Raila Odinga, Ida Odinga.

Speaking at Rota Health Center in Kisumu West Sub-County, Ranguma said the claims labeled against the MCA have no basis.

"Word has been going around about the dairy cows which I have also heard. My office was informed that Abiola, and not the women groups, had taken five cows,” he said as quoted by SDE.

He added: However, when I inquired further, I established that he was only helping the women groups to transport the cows."

The governor noted that it’s unfortunate for people to say things without evidence to support them.

"People say a lot of things most of which cannot be substantiated, and it is important that we understand that so that we don't get carried away with empty talk," said Ranguma.
