Over 37 members of the County assembly together with the governor absconded the sessions, where Ranguma was to give a key note speech on the progress of the projects in the county.

Speaking to journalists at the Kisumu County Assembly, Ouma said that he is concerned that the governor would miss the session he was to preside over.

“We are giving him 24 hours to come out clean and tell us by tomorrow were he was. We are not going to be taken for a ride, the voices of this people must be heard,” said Ouma.

“We are not going to leave any stone unturned. We are telling the people of Kisumu to be steadfast and let us dissolve the Kisumu County assembly. We can leave on one percent,” he added.

Ouma has warned that if the governor does not explain where he was, then he will lead Kisumu residents to collect signatures to dissolve the assembly.

“Some people are saying he went to campaign in Homabay County. Who told him we are interested in his campaigns,” he said.

He said that ‘Bunge la Wananchi’ will crack the whip to the MCAs who absconded the sessions too.

“We will send the Kisumu County assembly home if they cannot give us the services required. We heard that they are in Royal City here. They are to represent us and not their stomachs at Royal City,” said Ouma.
