Governor Jack Ranguma has said gross misconduct of employees will not be entertained under his watch.
“My attention has also been drawn to the misconduct by the Director of Lake Front Development, Ms Doris Ombara, who stormed and created disorderly scenes at the City Hall and Prosperity House, apart from previously precipitating unwarranted and disorderly picketing over her transfer from the position of City Manager,” Ranguma said on Wednesday.
He said discipline is an integral factor in management and performance of public service.
“Gross misconduct will therefore not be entertained under my watch,” he said adding that every employee of the county government of Kisumu is strongly advised to desist from acts that essentially breach the contractual relationship between the county government, as an employer, and the employee.
He said structural reorganization and deployment of human resource remain the functions of the County Government.
“Employees must comply or resign, the recent pattern of insubordination, political mobilization, dramatization, sensationalization and disorder must therefore cease forthwith," he stated in a press statement.
