A middle aged man was on Wednesday arrested for allegedly defiling two minors aged 7 years in Marani, Kisii County.
Parents of the minors said they had left their daughters at home to attend a funeral in the area.
Medical tests done on the minors at a local dispensary in Marani tested positive.
Nyumba Kumi officials led by Simon Nyakoyo arrested the man and surrendered him to Rioma police station.
A police officer at Rioma police station who declined to be named as he is not allowed to speak to the media, told Hivisasa that the suspect was moved to Kisii Central police station for court processing.
“The suspect was transferred to Kisii Central police station so that preparation to arraign him in court is done,” said the officer.
