Kisii South Police boss David Mburukua has said that rapists in the region will not be spared.
Mburukua said old people targeting to rape minors should relocate from the region before the law catches up with them.
“Old men targeting to spoil the future of our young girls will be jailed for life. Police will not hesitate to arrest rapists who are not satisfied with their wives,” he said.
He called on local government officers to stop defending rapists when arrested.
“Any local chief found defending suspects who defile minors will be sacked, arrested and prosecuted for allowing impunity in his or her area of administration,” said the police boss.
Mburukua urged parents to report rapists to police for the sake of ensuring the girls’ future is brighter.
