Rapper Frasha has declared to contest for the Member of County Assembly seat in Athi River in the upcoming general polls.
Frasha joins deejay Kaytrixx¸ rapper Cannibal and Eric Omterea among other entertainers who will be vying for different seats in August’s election.
The talented singer took to Instagram to share his interest in the seat. He posted: “I have been thinking and praying that the good lord gives me the strength to take on the challenge to bring better leadership to my home Town. And today I want to start a journey with the trust of Gods guidance and the power of the vote that I will become the next MCA Athi River Township so go our get registered, for Athi River a new dawn is here,” as quoted by Nairobi News.
Frasha will be banking on the support of youths to clinch the seat with a huge margin when that time comes. This is not the first time for Kenyan artistes to contest for political seats in general elections.
Frasha has played a pivotal role in taking the Kenyan entertainment industry to the next levels and his entry into the political arena is meant to show his other side. The artist has received support from his fans and fellow artists.
