[Photo|Busia County Government]The Council of Governors has agreed to bury their party differences and sit together to push for dialogue between President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.Seven governors who attended the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the Kenya Inter-Counties Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Monday said they have agreed as governors to sit together for the sake of peace in the country.The governors present included Wycliffe Oparanya of Kakamenga, Mike Mbuvi Sonko (Nairobi), Paul Chepkwony (Kericho), Ferdinand Waititu Babayao (Kiambu), Ali Roba (Mandera), Ali Korane (Garissa) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos). "Kenya and all her citizens are facing a myriad problems which can only be solved through sitting together to iron them out. As CoG from both Jubilee and NASA, we shall sit together with our principals to rescue the country. We don't want any more deaths in Kenya," Oparanya said.Roba said Kenya was bigger than any individual including Raila and Uhuru, thus the need for the two leaders to sit and talk for the sake of Kenya.Mutua said there should be no more bloodshed in the country because of politics, adding that there is need to amend the constitution of Kenya to make the Government all inclusive."The culture of the winner take it all has made some sections of the country feel that they have been left out. The amended constitution should create posts of Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and others," he said.Korane said leaders should work towards uniting Kenyans instead of dividing them. "Speaking on Monday, Waititu said nobody will get leadership position through the backdoor but they must fight through the ballot.
