One of the world's best football teams, FC Bayern Munich, has surprised the world by joining Kenyans to celebrate Jamhuri Day.
Through a post on its official Facebook page, the German outfit recognised the country’s independence celebration day, throwing many Kenyans into more joy.
“Thank you so so much Bayern. You just bought my heart for support. I have not been supporting you but now I’m your fan,” said Orenge Obunga Julius, a Facebook user.
“Oooooh yes, I can’t believe Bayern Munich recognises my beautiful country Kenya. May God bless you. I am such a big fan of yours, prolly one of the diehards,” said Wangui Kariuki, another user.
Denisaysantmuridi Juniaz said: “Due to that am officially Bayern Munich fan. EPL bye bye so far Man United n Mou your stressing me better the Bavarians who wishes us happy Jamhuri n they dont know what is losing in a game.”
Felix Kathan, another user, wrote; “Thank you team Bayern Munich for recognizing our country Kenya we are behind you towards Champions League title… Kenya loves you.”
The country however marked the day in less colour as only few Kenyans assembled at the Kasarani Stadium for President Uhuru Kenyatta's state address.
