Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has told county Women Representative Christine Ombaka to support his re-election bid or fail at the ballot.
Rasanga who is facing a daunting task in his bid for a second term in office last week dared Ombaka to support his opponent and face rejection at the ballot as he will moblize voters from his Alego-Usonga backyard not to vote for her.
The Governor who was speaking in Gem believes that his reelection will be made easier if Dr Ombaka throws her support behind him.
Dr Ombaka who has remained tight-lipped on who she will support in the race for the county top seat was asked to declare her stand.
"If you want to decamp, do it during day time and remember that I will tell my Alego people not to vote for you," Rasanga was quoted by the Star as saying.
Rasanga who has of late assumed a 'lone-ranger' status in the county that is seen as a hinterland of Nyanza politics is facing an awkward political dilemma with majority of his former-allies turning against him.
Only Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi is said to be supporting his reelection bid.
