He is set expected to appear in Court once the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions completes investigating the matter.

Documents indicate rasanga allegedly bought air tickets for himself, his wife, son and four daughters on different occasions.

Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Deputy Chief Executive Officer Michael Mubea said they were concluding investigations into the case before they could share with the general public.

"We are concluding investigations and once the file is ready it will be forwarded to Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko for directions," Mubea said, as per the Standard.

Rasanga however said government does not stop him from traveling with his family in any way.

He further said his position would not deny his family a privilege to travel by air.

"If my family traveled by air, it is their right but I want to make it clear that they never used public money. I also wish to deny categorically that I bought air tickets for my friends using county money. I challenge the EACC to name those friends," added the governor.
