The faculty of health sciences library of Egerton University on Monday received a book donation from the Rattansi Education Trust. The trust’s chairperson, Dr Vijoo Rattansi, while handing over the donation to the university’s librarian, said that the trust is dedicated towards contributing to the development of education in the country through investing in young people. Rattansi, the University of Nairobi chancellor, observed that for the country to achieve its Vision 2030 dream, the society and the government must invest in education that will empower young people with knowledge and skills. “Our goal is to stir up development in the country by contributing towards improved and fulfilled higher education standards,” she said. Egerton University librarian Janerose Kinyanjui, who received the 200 health sciences books, thanked the organisation for its continued support in expanding of the university library.
