Reacting to last week's incident that saw a patient shot dead at a Mwingi hospital, Moi said the hospital's security department must be held accountable for the death.

Last week, a gunman sneaked into the hospital ward while his accomplices stood guard at the entrance, shooting dead the 23-year-old patient before escaping unnoticed.

Police say no arrests have been made in connection to Thursday's 3am incident.

The victim, identified as Ngandi Malia Musyemi, was admitted to Mwingi Level Four Hospital after suffering bullet wounds following a carjacking incident.
