President Uhuru Kenyatta has been asked to find a way of bringing together all Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliations following the disputed October 26 repeat Presidential election.

Uasin Gishu Gospel Ministers Fellowship Chairman Bishop Wilson Kurui has further asked the Head of State to be at the forefront of preaching peace, love and unity.

Speaking in Eldoret on Friday, Bishop Kurui said the Uhuru, who recently took an oath for a second term in office should focus on reaching out to other Kenyans especially in the perceived National Super Alliance (NASA) strongholds.

“Now that he has been given the legal mandate to serve Kenyans, I would wish that the President begins to reach out especially to areas that witnessed violence and didn't vote in the repeat poll and even visit those places as I believe with such a gesture, the country will be peaceful,” said Bishop Kurui.

“The country has wasted about a year or so in politics and its time we utilised this time in preaching peace, unity and cohesion so that we can move forward together as a nation,” he added.

The Jesus Love Ministries Bishop further welcomed calls for dialogue between the President and opposition leader Raila Odinga saying, “Raila has made tremendous contributions to this country and he should be given a chance to dialogue on issues of unity but not anything about leadership since we already have a President in place.
