Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Friday held a private meeting with Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender affairs Rachel Shebesh.
According to Joho, the meeting majored on issues affecting both youths and women in the grassroots level.
"We covered a wide range of issues of mutual interest between the county and national government. I'm prepared to engage the Ministry of Youth and Public Service on Huduma Mashinani and support to the youth and women at the grassroots level," he said.
The meeting however, elicited mixed reactions from the public many applauding him while others urging him to be cautious with the move.
Simon Mwaniki said: "Congrats Governor for the move, we Youths want development and jobs in Mashinani and not politics. Hongeraa!,"
Carolyne Atieno said: "Good move. God knows how to humble people. Degree is just paper but a gift and talents are inborn yaani natural,"
Mwalimu Kimathi said: "Make a move and a smart one Sultan. With Shebesh around all can't be guaranteed well,"
Young Galgalo noted: "You see how leaders are following and basically coming to you? It's because of you possessing that quality! Keep going!!!!!,"
Ben Benardo said: "This shows that Joho is no longer taking vitendawili pills as prescribed by so called quok doctors,"
