Nairobi police commander Japheth Koome. [Photo| @NationBreaking]A move by Nairobi police commander Japheth Koome to declare Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi as a no-go zone on Tuesday sparked mixed reactions especially online. The grounds are to be used by the National Super Alliance (NASA) as the swearing-in venue of the Opposition leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as people's president and deputy president respectively. However, addressing the press on Sunday, Koome said NASA had not formally notified him on the plans to hold the controversial oathing in Nairobi. He insisted that nobody will be allowed at the park. A section of twitter users condemned the police boss. Below are some responses:@PatrickWamalw11: Japhet koome should spare us his theatrics. These are not the same NASA supporters who received raila at JKIA. They have morphed into something else & I will advise koome &his ilk not catalyse the situation. They better keep off, be there to collect evidence of treason or shut up@ItsOchieng: Hey Japhet Koome , who gives notice to the police when a President is being sworn in? Spare the nation your claptrap! Raila MUST be sworn in
