Kenyans on social media have expressed mixed reactions after Ruaraka Member of Parliament Tom Joseph Kajwang was arrested on Wednesday afternoon.

Kajwang was arrested by flying squad at the Milimani Law Courts.

His arrest came a day after he administered the controversial oath to Opposition leader Raila Odinga as the People's president in Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi.

The ODM legislator was taken to the DCI headquarters.

Supporters allied to the NASA coalition condemned the arrest.

Others however called for the arrest of Raila instead.

@Bob_Odhiambo said, "If Jubilee has to arrest anyone over Raila's oath then that person should be RAO himself. Arresting Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang is tantamount to harassment. The system is picking the people they're least afraid of."
