This is after the governor hosted Kiambu Women representative, Gathoni Wamuchomba in his office, where they discussed and came up with one decision. They were also joined up by former Nairobi Woman Rep, Rachel Shebesh, who is the current Chief Administrative Secretary from the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs.

"We agreed to form a committee from both sides of governments to steer the agenda of empowering our youths and women, people with disabilities and on ways of improving public service in our county. We also agreed to work together to establish Kiambu Youth Service, new Huduma Centre in Kiambu town and a rehabilitation center in Kikuyu sub county"

The move by the governor has so far attracted a number reactions from Kiambu residents, some of which include:

"This is how things are done teamwork you can learn something from a 10-year-old. We learn from all that surrounds us. from now hence let Kiambu learn to elect people who reside in Kiambu who knows what we go through. time 4 u Waititu to relocate." said Jane Safari 

"After some alarms, you are Co operating now but remember what goes around comes around don't let people of Kiambu down 2022 is very cross mayouth need help," said Samfrey Ngush.

"That's a good start, united we stand divided we fall. Selflessness replacing selfishness is commendable. We had despaired but now there is hope," said Makarios Steve Macharia

"A rehabilitation center in Kikuyu..... GOOD NEWS!!!! Congrats!!!" said George Best NjuGunner

"Rehab center should have been constructed in Ndumberi. I don't think Kikuyu as a whole has many drunkards than Ndumberi alone," said Njau Martin

"All we want is development in our county, not fights," said Naomi Nyamwah Mungai
