Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is contemplating quitting his office as the city-county governor over what he termed as persistent challenges in running his day to day activities at the City Hall.
Sonko posted the surprising confessions on his official Facebook page after congratulating Nairobi county taxpayers for going beyond the targeted Sh100,000, 000 in revenue collection for the month of March.
"I want you to know that this job has not been easy for me and it is almost wearing me out and I am not talking about the flag but I will tell you soon so that you can advice me well on what should be my next step of action," reads part of Sonko's Facebook post.
"I dont want to run away without consulting you like my brother(Polycarp Igathe)," he added.

Sonko has been known to always share his frustration with the public, he once posted on Facebook asking Nairobians to help him pick a favorable running mate in the 2017 gubernatorial contest.
In the event of a resignation, Sonko will make history as the first governor to do so.
However, Kenyans have taken to social media to offer advice to the leader who is keen to seek their advice before he takes the next steps.
