State House announced a revision in president Uhuru Kenyatta's voter registration awareness drive schedule.
This is after he toured Murang'a County, Thursday, where he urged locals, especially the youth, to register as voters.
He will now spend seven days visiting Isiolo, Meru, Samburu, Garissa, Kitui, Marsabit and Kajiado counties before returning to Nairobi at the end of next week.
The second and last phase of the mass listing exercise kicked off January 16 and will end February 14, 2017, as August 8 elections draw nearer.
"By registering as voters, you will have the opportunity to exercise your democratic right by choosing the leaders of your choice,'' Uhuru told residents in Murang'a.
