Real Betis are reportedly eyeing a move for Kenyan star player Michael Olunga after a tough season at Girona FC.
The young foward arrived at the club ahead of the 2017/2018 campaign on loan from Guizho Zhicheng. However, he found minutes difficult to come by under head coach Pablo Machin.
According to reports, Betis will make a move for the Kenyan forward in the upcoming summer transfer window and are ready to pay 4,50 Million euros.
While getting game-time at Girona was always going to be difficult for the youngster, few would have anticipated him to make a huge statement in his first season in a top-flight league.
Olunga made just four starts in La Liga, coming off the bench ten times, registering 3 goals and 1 assist in the few matches he played.
During his time with Girona, the forward has shown he is more of a threat to opposition defenders. But unfortunately for him, there hasn't been a constant call-up in the starting eleven to show what he is capable of.
Seeing Olunga in the current Real Betis team under manager Quique Setien would be intriguing for Kenyan football lovers, With Betis set to play in the Europa League next season.
