Nairobi senator, Mike Sonko is likely to be defeated by Governor Evans Kidero in the Nairobi gubernatorial race, a Jubilee Coalition MP has said.
In his view, Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria said he is backing Water CS, Eugene Wamalwa for the chance to take on Kidero is because he is more likely to win than Sonko.
He believes that the Jubilee coalition must not take chances with Nairobi and thus Wamalwa for the seat.
" We cannot take chances with some of the candidates who can easily lose to Kidero in the elections. The only one who can win is Wamalwa and we will support his bid," he said.
He also insisted that Central Kenya MPs and all Kenyans have interests in Nairobi and thus they can have an opinion on who should be Governor.
" That we cannot have an opinion in Nairobi because we are in Central Kenya is ludicrous, to say the least," he stated.
Wamalwa will take on the likes of Sonko, MPs, Dennis Waweru and Johnstone Sakaja, former MP Margaret Wanjiru and former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru for the opportunity to represent the Jubilee Coalition in the 2017 polls.
