Residents of Kibera slums have revealed that they do not have any faith in the political polls being conducted by different research organisations.
‘‘Most of these organisations base results on only one side of the coin. They can chose to give questionnaires to people whom they know will vote in favour of a particular person. The organisations then use the data to make conclusions. I don’t believe any results from any research organisation,’’ revealed Wendy Apiyo, a resident.
‘‘I always ask myself how an organisation can carry out a research for only three weeks all over the country and come up with a report. How can you choose 1000 people to represent all Kenyans? I believe this is not information Kenyans should believe because if the research organisation is serious with conducting a research, it should try and reach more than 200,000 people before sampling the data and compiling a report. You can never use 1000 people to represent over 30 million Kenyans,’’ said Penina Moraa, another resident.
This comes after Infotrack released a report on Sunday showing which politicians are preferred to be the next president of Kenya in next year’s general elections.
