Residents of Machakos County who are doing their own businesses are enjoying a conducive working environment, thanks to the revenue policy which was initiated by County Government of Machakos under the leadership of Governor Alfred Mutua.

The revenue policy is a step to the right direction and will go a long way in attracting small-scale investors to come and put-up their businesses in Machakos County.The revenue policy which was effected from June, 28th 2017 states that "the County Government of Machakos stopped collecting revenues from hawkers fees; small scale vegetable retailers (Mama Mboga), Small scale cereal vendors, market access for livestock,  Bus park fees for matatus, nissans, Tuk Tuk, maruti, boda boda and fees charged to "mitumba" traders."

Also in a bid to boost the economy of Machakos, the County Government of Machakos pledged no penalties for Single Business Permits rates charged to salons, shops, barber shops, shoe shiners, kiosks, Mpesa shops. No increase of any fees on Single Business Permits.  Any Officer charging increased fees and or harassing traders should be reported for immediate disciplinary action.

We all know that small-scale businesses are the driving forces of economy. By making it extremely easy to do business for small-scale enterprises, Governor Mutua is pressing the right buttons.
