On 9th June 2018, Nairobi women rep Esther Passaris started an initiative dubbed #DadaRidesWithMamaTaa. On this day Esther Passaris cycled from Kenyatta Ave all the way to Panari Hotel on Mombasa Rd and back to the CBD. Through this #DadaRidesWithMamaTaa initiative,  Esther Passaris and a team of mostly female cyclists wanted to raise awareness about cycling as an alternative mode of transportation.

Living in a patriarchal society, I couldn't help but wonder, what will happen to women if they start riding bicycles. After days of research, I was surprised to learn that riding bicycles have more benefits to women than I thought.

Cycling is an exercise you will enjoy doing. Being an exercise cycling optimizes your body's collagen which reduces fine wrinkles.

You might be struggling with insomnia or you know someone who does. Well, cycling can sort you out. A study by Stanford University found out that people who cycled at least 20- 30 minutes a day slept longer and had easy time sleeping.
