It has now emerged that NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga was angered by anti-IEBC demonstrations held last week on Friday.
According to Nation, Odinga was angered by what transpired in Kisumu where youths vandalized a section of Tumaini supermarket by looting.
Mr Odinga during a closed door meeting held on Sunday night at Capitol Hill Hotel Kisian, appeared angered by the events that transpired in Kisumu.
Raila had convened the meeting to paln for subsequent anti-IEBC protests.
Leaders who attended the meeting included MPs Onyango K’oyoo (Muhoroni), Mr Aduma Owuor (Nyakach), Mr Jared Okello (Nyando), Dr James Nyikal (Seme) and Kisumu Central’s Fred Ouda.Mr Okello in an interview after the meeting said Mr Odinga told them to control the protestors.
“Our party leader told us to be on the frontline during the demo and ensure we converge at one particular place when starting the demo and completing it and ensure no one is left behind to take advantage of the demo to commit crime,” Jared Okello is quoted by Nation.
During the Monday protests, one person was shot while three others were injured.
