According to Raila, the meeting was meant to discuss political developments in the country with particular focus on the building bridges to anew Kenyan nation initiative.

Further details about the meeting were not immediately revealed.

However, Kabogo has come out to explain that meeting was focused on development.

"As leaders, we discussed many issues affecting Kenyans, and you do not have to be in anelective position to influence development, which is why I met Raila today," Kabogo said in an interview with Kenyans.co.ke.

"We discussed ways of holding the nation together by putting Kenya first ahead of personal interests. Raila promised me that his priority after the handshake was working on unifying Kenyans, which I support," Kabogo added.

Since the famous handshake, Raila has met a number of leaders including Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and outgoing US ambassador Robert Godec.

On Monday, Raila met with UK envoy to Kenya Nick Heiley who conveyed congratulatory messages from Theresa May following the truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
