A recce squad officer has been transferred to Nairobi Hospital after he was shot in the stomach by a colleague after a disagreement in Boni forest.

Constable Anthony Wanjohi was shot by his colleague Bethwel Tuitoek during a mission to flush out Al-Shabab in Boni forest.

Tuitoek was wrestled by his colleagues and was disarmed of his G-3 rifle and later taken to Lamu police station as he waits to be arraigned in court.Constable Wanjohi is in a stable condition.
