Upcoming musicians have a reason to celebrate after Kibera MP, Ken Okoth said he is planning to put up a Sh8 million for a recording studio in the area.
Okoth said there was a lot of talent among the youths who have no support.
Speaking on Tuesday at Woodly Stadium during the event organised by rapper Octopizzo, Okoth said local youth will access the studio for a subsidized fee and those who will not afford will be accorded free studio time.
He said the slum holds very many talented youths who need to be empowered and by ensuring they have a recording studio it will see them nature their talents.
“Kibera is rich of talents and we want to ensure that they are nurtured to the next level and earn them a good income,” he said.
He called upon the youths with talents to embrace themselves for a brighter future and ensure they utilize the studio to the maximum.
