Nyamira youths have challenged County governor John Nyagarama to give priority to more youths in job opportunities.

Led by ODM youth leader Dennis Marube, they accused the county leadership of giving old people first priority.

“It is worrying that there is a high number of old people who have attained retirement age working in the county unlike youths who are graduates," said Marube. 

The ODM youth leader also challenged MCAs to chip in and defend young people who are reportedly facing frustrations within the county.

“We have youths who are graduates but now jobless in villages. Our MCAs should wake up and rectify this anomaly," he added.

He urged youths in the county to apply for jobs in the county so that they can be considered.
