Six police recruits were on Friday charged for forging academic papers.
The recruits from Kiganjo Training College were scheduled to gradate in a month's time.
The five men and a woman were also charged with presenting fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificates claiming that they were issued by the Kenya National Examinations Council.
Hussein Hassan Mohammed, Humphrey Otieno, Josephine Akinyi, Lucas Kasim Mutua, Ezra Ouma Were and Wilfred Mose did not take a plea when they appeared before Nyeri Senior Resident Magistrate Nelly Kariuki.
The prosecution requested the court to detain them for six more days to enable completion of investigations.
The case will be mentioned on January 19.
