The Kenya Red Cross has issued an alert warning people of a possible continuation of floods in several parts of the country.
In a text message, the Red Cross warned people living near rivers to vacate their home and move to higher grounds.
Areas the humanitarian organization said were likely to be affected were Manyatta, Obunga, Nyalenda, Kanyakwar and Bandani slums in Kisumu town.
The areas have been affected due to the poor state of the drainage systems.
Other areas across the county affected include Achuodho village in Nyakach and the lower parts of Kano plains.
Red Cross said over 80 families have been displaced so far.
The families have found refuge at local churches and schools while others are living in temporary shelters provided by the Red Cross.
