Addressing locals at Masinga Trading centre on Sunday, Musyoka said that Cord’s push for a referendum is still intact.

The Wiper leader lashed out at those terming the push as a failure, saying they are in for a rude shock.

“Cord has no plans of shelving the push for a referendum, we will soldier on until when Kenyans will get the fruits of devolution,” said Musyoka.

Musyoka said that it is only through referendum that many challenges facing Kenyans would be addressed.

He stated that amending some sections of the constitution will give Kenyans an opportunity to access better and quality services.

Musyoka noted that Kenyans have been exposed to harsh living standards and that through referendum they will be able to redeem themselves.

The Wiper leader accused the Jubilee government of failing to address the real issues facing the people.

He said that the Jubilee government is concentrating on issues that will not uplift the living standards of the people.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta should work on real issues facing the country,” said Musyoka.

At the same time Musyoka urged residents to support the referendum push saying it is the only way through which their voices will be heard.

He said that most Jubilee leaders voted against the constitution in the 2010 referendum and therefore cannot be trusted to guard and protect it.
