Gitothua Ward Representative Patrick Chege has urged youths to refrain from being used by politicians to cause chaos.
Addressing youths in Ruiru town on Monday, the MCA asked young people to stay off selfish politicians, pointing out that the young people were easily falling vulnerable to violence.
“It is bad for politicians to use our young people as agents of criminal activities and violence,” he said.
The MCA hit out at opposition leaders, accusing them of using youths to perpetrate their protests.
He said that recent demonstrations by opposition leaders show that they are using the youths to agitate violence.
Chege challenged youths to work with leaders who are development oriented instead of being manipulated by selfish leaders.
Meanwhile, the MCA wants opposition leaders to stop calling for protests over the IEBC matter, saying the protests will not address the matters, and should instead use appropriate channels to voice their concerns.
The MCA observed that Cord has reputable leaders who understand the law, and that they ought to lead by example.
