President Uhuru Kenyatta is in firm control of four former provinces in the battle for numbers ahead of the August 8 poll according to the latest opinion poll.
The poll which was administered by Centre for African Progress (CAP) sees Uhuru lead in Central where he enjoys 95% support, North Eastern with a popularity of 64%, Eastern with 61% and 66% in Rift Valley.
On the other hand, NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga is popular in Nyanza where he enjoys 84% support and Western at 65%.
In the Coast region, Raila enjoys a slim lead with 50% support and further 50% in Nairobi.
However, for Raila, Uhuru is closing in on his Coast region stronghold with the President now enjoying 44% support and a further 45% in Nairobi.
Both Uhuru and Raila have in the past few weeks prioritized invading the opponent's strongholds with Raila keen to swing Meru region with Uhuru wooing Coast and Western Kenya region.
Raila is also keen to make inroads in the South Rift region, the support base of the NASA co-principal Issac Ruto.
