Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) Party Secretary General Hassan Omar has asked Cord supporters in Western ad Nyanza to register as voters ahead of the 2017 general elections.
Omar said that Western and Nyanza are Cord’s strongholds and that voters should register in readiness for elections.
He noted that Cord will easily win the 2017 elections if supporters come out and vote.
“We must register as voters and vote to make sure that Cord wins the 2017 election,” he said during a rally led by Raila Odinga in Busia on Wednesday.
The Wiper secretary general said that Cord was united ahead of the 2017 polls.
He denied claims that the Coalition was on the verge of collapsing stating that the propaganda is being fueled by Jubilee who have sensed defeat.
At the same time, Omar said that they will not allow rebels to break their parties.
He asked rebels within ODM, Wiper and other parties in Cord to quit.
“Rebels have no place in Cord and whoever thinks he or she will spy for Jubilee is in for a rude shock,” said the Mombasa senator.
Omar assured supporters that Cord principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka will work together to clinch the 2017 elections.
