According to Vicky Onderi, who is eyeing Women Representative seat on Jubilee Party, women could get into leadership positions should they register in numbers.

Ms. Onderi also urged women to be conversant with the new constitution as a way of familiarizing themselves with their basic rights.

“It is high time for woman to realize that we need leaders who will cater for programs meant for women  in this county, hence I urge my fellow ladies to come out in large numbers to register so that we can vote visionary leaders," she said.

Onderi said she would improve economic fortunes of women by rolling empowerment projects across the county if elected.

She is likely to face Bridgit Ombati in Jubilee Party nominations before facing heavyweights Mary Otara and Janet Ong'era in August.
