Register CBO’s to benefit from 30 percent tenders, Kisauni youth challenged.

Youth in Kisauni constituency have been challenged to register community-based organizations so that they benefit from the compulsory 30 percent government tenders.

Kisauni Member of Parliament Ali Mbogo said that the youth would benefit from the tenders as one way of fighting poverty among themselves and their communities as well.

Addressing ‘Okoa Mtopanga Ward Youth Group’ based in his constituency on Friday, Mbogo said that the Constituency Develop Fund-CDF will benefit the youth after they formed groups and register Community-Based Organizations -CBOs- with proper guidelines and visions.

According to the Lawmaker, the time for youth complaining about neglect and suffering were closed under his tenure and Kisauni youth have all the privileges to discuss pertinent issues with their leaders and find an amicable solution.

He told the youth since the 30 percent tender for the Youth, Women, and Person living with disabilities was compulsory, there were no reasons for the youth to remain underprivileged.

“Who told you that you are a forgotten lot? I am here not only to serve you but also show you various ways on how you can benefit throughout my term of leadership” he assured the youths.

He said that the youth in Sungu area at Vikwatani within Kisauni constituency had already shown interest in working with him and at the same time share their grievances.

“By listening to your views, opinions, and ideas I am convinced that we are walking together in the development path, leave the politics to us but always strive to develop and change your lives” he added.

Mbogo urged the youth who formed ‘Okoa Mtopanga Ward Youth Group with an aim of changing the morals of their peers to remain united and focus on how they can rebuild their lives and become ambassadors of change in Kisauni.

He promised to meet more youth groups early January 2018 to chat ways on how to change their lives and cleanse the painful fact that Kisauni youth were branded criminals.

“The negative branding of criminals will be a thing of the past” He assured the youths.
